Introduction:- Man lives in the society. He can not live alone. He likes to mix with others. Such mixing or attachment is known as friendship. True friendship is a gift of God. It is a noble thing. It adds to over joy and lessons our sorrow. A true friend is a pride and glory to us. Friendship is divinely bestowed upon man. It should be cherished by every individual. According to an English poet;
"Society, friendship and love, Divinely bestowed upon man."

False friends:- It is said that there are many fair weather friends who join us in prosperity and leave us when we are in adversity. They come to us to fulfil their selfish motive. After the period of prosperity such friends forget us and go to make friendship with others. But true friendship is a noble quality.

Part time companions, mates are not friends. They are called courtsey friends. True friends are very rare. Sometimes our enemies come in colour of true friends and ruin us. Rather a noble enemy is better than a dishonest friend.
Conclusion:- We should take utmost care while selecting friends. We will have to make the right choice of friends. We must have a deep insight into the human character. We should aim at making friends with the best possible men. D A true friend is a golden gift of God. Friendship is divine. Everyone should know how to choose a friend and how to honour friendship. We must be true to our friends. A man's character is known by the company he keeps. Wrong choice of friends may ruin us.
