A CRICKET MATCH
Introduction:- Cricket is the most popular game in the whole
world. People forget everything to watch this game continuously. Even they
often go without food at the time of cricket match.
Place and date:- A one day internativnal cricket match was held
at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack G. He 10th of September last year. It was a
match between India and Australia. The players of both the teams had arrived
the day befcre. They were received warmly. I went to see the match with my
friends. We have booked some tickets in advance. We reached the stadium in time and saw that it was crowded.
Teams
& Description:- The match started just at 9 A.M. The
Australian Captain Mr. Steve Waugh won the toss and they started batting. Steve
and Ricky came as openeres. The Indian team went for fielding. The Oriya cricket
hero Devashis Mohanty opened the bowling while Mr. Mongia was the wicket
keeper. Australia ended fifty overs with 292 for 9. Devashis took four wickets.
Steve scored a century in the match.
Result:- The match started again at 2 P.M. after the break. Master blaster Tendulkar and Sehwag came as the openers of Indian team. Only four and sixes came raining from their bats. They scored 130 in 15 overs. Tendulkar was run out in the 16th over just after he scored a century. The Indian captain Mr. Ganguly joined and raised the score to 260 for 4. Ganguly was out. Then Zaheer Khan joined. The situation was very tense. But Zaheer hit sixes and fours and India reached the target of 293. India won the match.
Conclusion:- It was really a very wonderful match. All the spectators cheered the Indian players.
