TREE PLANTATION
Introduction:- Tree gives life to all. None can live without
oxygen. Trees give out oxygen which all living beings fake in and live. Forests
are natural sources and used in many ways. As the population of the world
increased there has been a tremendous demand on forests and their products.
People cut down trees for their own interest and deforestation has taken place.
Effects of deforestation:- Deforestation causes a lot of damage to
agriculture. It brings drought. Sometimes heavy floods occur. Forests
contribute largely to the economic development of a country. The atmosphere of
the world has become polluted. Now not only the air, water are not polluted but
everything has been polluted. Only afforestation can protect all. With this
view, the people of all the countries of the world have become conscious and
started growing forests. Our Government has launched the afforestation
programme for growing forests on the roadsides and on the wasteland in rural
areas. Van Mahotsav is celebrated everywhere.
Afforestation programmes
of govt & It's utility:- The purpose of Van Mahotsav is to encourage
people to plant trees. The N.G.O.s take initiative in educating people for
growing forests. This programme is observed from 1st July every year. People
everywhere plant trees in their gardens, on the waste road, and on roadsides.
N.A.C. A municipality, Corporations take steps for making towns and cities
green and beautiful. We observe the Vanamohotsab in our school. We plant new
trees in our garden and school premises.
Conclusion:- All should plant trees in their lands. One
man and one tree rule may be followed.
