INDEPENDENCE DAY OF INDIA

(Introduction, Observation, Conclusion) 
Our mother land India was under the British rule for more than two hundred years. They tortured us and snatched our freedom of speech, movement and ritual rights. Our people were leading a very miserable life. At last Mahatma Gandhi took the leadership of freedom movement and the British rulers left India giving freedom. We became free on the 15th August 1947. Since then we have been observing our Independence day on every 15th August.


The Independence is a holy and auspicious day for us. It reminds us our duties and responsibilities for our motherland. We remember our great national struggle and great victory. We pay homage to our great leaders. On this day we analyze what we have achieved for our country and what we have lost. We take solemn pledge to serve our mother land.


INDEPENDENCE DAY OF INDIA 
This day is observed everywhere with much pomp and grandeur. Our Prime Minister unfurls the national flag at Red Fort in our national Capital Delhi. He receives salute from the three wings of our defense force. The N.C.C., the Scout and students of schools, colleges salute the Prime Minister.The Prime Minister delivers a speech on the welfare programme undertaken by the government.


People rally round the national flag. The national anthem "Jana....gan man" is sung everywhere. Fireworks are displayed. Prayers are offered with blowing of couches and beating of drums. There is merriment and rejoicing.


In every state capitals, district head quarters, schools, colleges, govt. offices this day is observed with pomp. Pravat Ferry is done by the students with Ram Dhun. All offices and schools, colleges remain closed on this day. Various competitions are held to test the patriotic sentiments of our young boys and girls. Houses and office buildings are decorated nicely. Meetings are held everywhere to commemorate our great national leaders who dedicated their lives for freedom of our country.


The Independence day is a red letter day in the history of India. It should be observed by all. It is the day on which we should sincerely promise to be dutiful to our motherland.
