A RICKSHAW PULLER
In the past the rickshaws and rickshaw pullers were seen in big cities and towns. But now-a-days we can see rickshaws every where. The rickshaw pullers are waiting in village centers, bus stands, railway stations, near temples and market places.
The man who pulls a rickshaw is called a 'Rickshaw puller'. There were hand drawn rickshaws in past. Now it became a cycle-rickshaw.
Generally a poor fellow pulls a rickshaw. He can not buy it. He hires it from *je owner.
He pays some amount to the owner as per their agreement. The rickshaw owner bears all the cost of the license, repair and other expenses.
He takes his rent daily from the rickshaw puller.
The rickshaw puller carries people and their baggage to their
destinations. He takes fare as per the local body rules. Sometimes he takes two
or three persons in his rickshaw. He charges more during the rough weather and
festivals.
The rickshaw puller is simple, truthful, faithful and honest. He behaves his
passengers with good manners. People give him award for his hard work.
Some rickshaw pullers are addicted to wine and . women, opium and smoking. They spend all their earnings. They can not maintain their family well.
We should be kind and sympathetic to the rickshaw pullers.
