(Introduction, His work, Financial condition, Conclusion)
People of many caste and religion live together in our society. Most of the villagers follow the trade of their respective castes. The washer man washes the clothes of other people in the village.
Kelu Sethy is the washer man of our village. He lives in a small thatched house at the end of the village with his family. He is an honest servant of the society. He washes the clothes of the villagers. In the morning he goes rounded the village and collects the dirty clothes. He boils the clothes with soda and water. Then he carries them to the washing ghat. There on a washing board he strikes them well. He washes them in the pond and dries them in the sun. His wife also helps him in washing, drying and ironing the clothes. He makes the woolen, silken and other costly clothes dry washing. He irons the clothes and in the evening gives them to the concerned people. This is his daily routine.
On festive days and other occasions he does not wash clothes. He gets the mercy of the people. His financial condition is not so good. He is very poor. Still he maintains his family with the help of the people. The villagers give him rewards for his work. On festivals they give him good foods, clothes and money.
Kelu is no doubt a very humble and faithful man. He is plain and simple. People should be good and kind to him.
