IF I WERE THE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA
IF I WERE THE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA
Introduction
Every citizen wants to prosper. Individual prosperity is not possible without social prosperity. Social prosperity depends on a prosperous state. The Head of the state of India is the President. He doesn't administer the country. He acts according to the advice of the council of ministers. The Prime Minister is the hief of the council of ministers. He is the Head of the Government, He is responsible for the protection, management, administration and development of the state. Actually he leads the country. Our country has not prospered much. It is facing a lot of problems. The solution is at the hands of the Prime Minister. If I were the Prime Minister of India, I would take the following steps to lift my country to new heights.
Administration
Long long ago the great king Ramachandra ruled over Ayodhya. The people were very happy and prosperous during Ram's reign. "Rama Rajya" means a happy and prosperous state. If I were the Prime Minister of India, I would establish Rama Rajya. I would strive to establish the rule of law and justice. I would strive to make the country prosperous and free.
Eradication of poverty
More than 50% of the people of India live below poverty line. This is due to unequal distribution of wealth. People are dying from starvation. A large number of people don't get nutritious food to eat. I would try to eradicate poverty. I would create jobs for the poor. I would take such steps nutritious food would be available cheaply for the poor. I would try to wipe away tears from the eyes of the poor. I would see that nobody dies of starvation.
Education for allo
It is a well-known fact that without education nobody can prosper. I would make education compulsory for children up to the age of 15. Child labour would be abolished. Strict laws would be passed so that the parents would be forced to send their children to school. The children would be given free text books and education materials. They would also be given free uniform dresses. Good students would be given scholarships. There would be no illiterate citizen in my country.
Focus on agriculture
Agriculture is the back-bone of the economy of India. I would try my best to improve the agricultural sectors. The farmers would be given good training free of cost. Steps would be taken to bring more and more land under the scheme of irrigation. Incentives would be given for good food production. More food means less starvation and good health. Plans would be made keeping this in mind.
Science and Industry
Modern age is the age of science. I would take steps to improve the field of science. Talented scientists would be appointed to conduct fundamental research to find out new things. The Industrial sector would not be neglected. But the factories would not be allowed to make loss. Only experienced and well-trained people would be appointed to man the factories so that production would go up.
Administration
Lastly I would make the administrative machinery more efficient Corruption would be rooted out. The corrupt officers would be dismissed instantly. The hard-working government officers would only be promoted. I would abloish the quota system which is against talent and efficiency.
Conclusion
I would leave no stones unturned to elevate my country to the level of other developed nations. I would act according to the following lines:-
"Great men, who work while others sleep,
Who dare while others fly,
Build the country's pillars deep.
And lift them to the sky."
***** END *****
