Cinema is
a wonderful gift of science. It was invented by the great American scientist
Thomas Edison. Cinema means moving pictures. We can see the moving view of the
things which were photographed. At first cinema could show only the speechless
figures. Experiments were going on. Speech and music have been fitted to
cinema. Now we can see the pictures talk, dance and sing. The sound of their
voices and music is heard and enjoyed by the audience. The pictures were shown
only in black and white. Changes came and now we see many coloured pictures.
Cinema has become the most popular means of entertainments. It has an immense educative value. It has a great influence on modern life. People like to visit cinema to enjoy themselves and to escape the worries and monotonry of life. Cinema is a major industry for which many pople are
employed. It is an important source of information. It enables us to see beautiful cities of the world. The documentary films add to awe knowledge. It focuses the attraction of the people on various social, economic and political problems. The government arranges public show of cinemas for educating themasses.
The film makers produce most pictures from commercial point of view. They draw the attention of the youth to sex and violence. People become foppish and lose the power of thinking. Crimes and other immoral things are shown in cinema. Public opinion should be created against such cinema. The film makers should produce pictures that can exert good and healthy influence.
