NATIONAL INTEGRATION
(Introduction, People of different castes, Religious, unity in diversity, Communal tensions, What should be done, Conclusion)
India is
the biggest democratic country in the world. About one hundred-two crore people
live in India. They are of different castes, creeds, colours, languages and
religious. Their dresses and life styles are different from community to
community and from region to region. Inspire of such vast differences India is
one from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. The Indians developed into one nation by the
influence of common territory, common history and common fight for freedom
against the foreign rule. Due to the divide and rule policy of British rulers
the racial, religious and linguistic groups in the Indian nation began to
disintegrate emotionally and psychologically which resulted the division of
India into Bharat and Pakistan. Even after Independence, the integrity of the
Indian nation is awfully threatened as the communal quarrels are fauned by the
hostile neighbors of India. Hence a strong national integration is necessary
for India.
. Though we are Independent and feeling that we are one under the Indian National Flag and there is unity in diversity. We are facing today many problems. Unfortunately we find today that certain divisive elements, are active. Though India is one in heart and soul and Indians have developed a spirit of tolerance towards privet tendencies. The educational system should aim at developing a feeling of unity, solidarity and cohesion in the hearts of the people. A sense of common citizenship and loyalty to the nation should be developed. Each community should appreciated, love and respect every other community. Every Indian student should be given full facility to learn through his own language where ever he is in India.
Scouts and N.C.C. play a vital role to bring about national integration. The players of Hockey or Cricket should forget their castes, creeds and religions. Political parties should always think for the national integration of our country.
Our country India is a secular democratic socialistic Republic. It has the glory of being the land of Krishna, Ram and Buddha. We should work for the national integration of country.
